Janice, I am so sorry. I started following your substack as my partner of 30+ years and I are planning on doing something similar in a year- when we are 54 and 56. You have inspired me and will continue to do so. Those pictures of you as a couple from the early days and later days are precious. My heart goes out to you.

Thank you Kristen - I appreciate your kind message and I'm so glad you are feeling inspired by my posts and photos. I'm taking comfort from my travel memories and my family right now and I'm thankful that we travelled the world when we did and so have no regrets. I'm thrilled for you that you and your partner are about to embark on your adventures. Happy travels! Janice xx

🌺Have. had so many bereavements up to now (age 61) that it beggars belief. I am so dreadfully vexed for you having to go through this far too soon in your lives 😔. Running away from home , completely on my own , truly helped me with some of the Worst Bereavements of my life. Re-entry back into what I left behind has never been easy😢, but although I’ve become such a Cry-baby over the daily trails and tribulations of others & myself , somehow, through it all, Yes, I am indeed stronger , despite what has been flung my way . More importantly, I have Had to become stronger, despite myself. 🌺👿

Thank you Gwen for your insightful comment and for being vexed on my behalf at what life throws at us. I shall endeavour to be strong too despite myself. xx
